Build Weekend is a hackathon where you can build on your own ideas. You form a team, choose an idea, and continue building throughout the weekend.
We won't tell you what to build, but we are happy to help you on your way. We give you access to resources, and you leave with the MVP of your next startup: whether that is a prototype, design, automation, or a bold new concept.
Unlike traditional hackathons, this Build Weekend is less about competition and more about collaboration, creativity, and learning. You will leave with a project, new skills, connections, and energy ⚡️

The goal of the Build Weekend is to bring together young makers to create, learn, and collaborate. It’s not about working all night or chasing a perfect end product. Instead, the focus is on:
- Learning new tools and skills (like n8n automation)
- Meeting other creatives, techies, and entrepreneurs
- Realising an idea in just one weekend
Dates: Saturday, September 26 - Sunday, September 27 (times will follow)
Location: StartDock Coworking, Singel 126, 1015 AE Amsterdam
Note: You can't sleep in the building during the night 🚫
Nope, this isn’t an all-nighter hackathon, sorry! 🚫🛏️
We’ll wrap up in the evenings and start fresh the next day. That way you get to rest properly and come back with new energy.
No worries! Teams are formed at the beginning of the event, either through a random selection process or by allowing participants to form their own teams.
Great! Does the team consist of 2-4 people? Let all the team members sign up individually and register the team name in the form. If you are still looking for some team members, you can pitch your idea at the beginning of the hackathon, and recruit others for you team.
Bring your own laptop, chargers, and any tools or software you need for your project. We provide lunch, dinner and Sunday breakfast and lunch. Drinks and snacks are available!
